Wars in Syria and Afghanistan against Muslims to stop: Says Trump

Yes, it’s true…President Donald Trump pledged to bring home U.S. troops from Syria with Islamic State nearly defeated and to negotiate an exit from Afghanistan after almost two decades of war, saying in his State of the Union address that “great nations do not fight endless wars.” Yes, sure it seems quite unbelievable and people will only fully accept this to be true once it actually happens. Indeed, we hope it’s true!

Trump and his aides have scaled back the president’s vow in late December to withdraw forces “now,” saying the move would be more measured and that the U.S. will continue to strike at Islamic State. However, the president spoke only hours after the Republican-controlled Senate passed legislation with a provision sponsored by Majority Leader Mitch McConnell calling for the U.S. to avoid any “precipitous withdrawal” from Syria and Afghanistan.

On the other hand, many came back and witnessed surreal visuals of their former hometown. According to CNN, two boys in their early teens swung sledgehammers, knocking down what remains of a wall. Another is hauling pieces of wood across the rubble-strewn dirt in front of the house, or what was the house of Qais Diab Al-Sharina. Al-Sharina and his children returned to their former home in the town of Hajin, on the Euphrates River in eastern Syria. A coalition of US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Kurdish soldiers and Arab tribesmen liberated Hajin from the so-called Islamic State in December. In the process, nearly every building in Hajin's centre was damaged or destroyed. Al-Sharina, a man in his forties said:

"Life was hard under ISIS…But it's still hard, harder still with this destruction."

The back wall of his house has been completely demolished, and the front pocked with bullets. Every window in the house has been blown out.

As the war against ISIS wanes, civilians returning to their homes in Iraq and Syria are discovering wastelands where towns once stood; urban moonscapes of twisted metal, shattered concrete, unexploded bombs and mines.

We pray to Allah (SWT) that may these people get help the best possible way and they manage to make a living for themselves. We urge you to donate for these Syrians because they need it the most now. Human Concern International is one organization that strives for this very purpose to help. Donate now for people of Syria and get countless rewards. Verily Allah (SWT) admires those who helps His believers and give charity for them.

Those who spend their wealth [in Allah 's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve. (Surah Baqarah:274)
